It's a Pirate Thing...

Hello again!
First off, BIG THANK YOU to the DT at 'If You Give a Crafter a Cookie' for naming me last week's Top Cookie! Totally thrilled!

I found a new challenge this week that inspired me...this one is from {Pin}spirational Challenges,  {Pin}spirational challenge - #162. The inspiration for this challenge is a photo of your favorite Pirate & mine, Captain Jack Sparrow!
I am also playing along with Tuesday Morning Sketches - challenge # 346, which is a lovely layout that worked very well for my 'Pirate's Life' card.

Here is the total layout...it's hard to tell, but the background paper has a nautical, map theme...

The 'sentiment' is meant to look like the name from a ship. It means,"Treasure of the Heart" - at least according to babel-fish!. I used some thin real-wood scrap paper, printed and then embossed and inked to more define the wood grain, and to look like ship-lap boards.

Here is a close up of the Pirate Tag & key. The key is die cut out of thin tin sheet using Spellbinders 'Jewel Keys' Shapeabilities die...

Easter Wishes!

Hi! Wow - it's been a long time again since I've been able to sit down and post. I've been sick all week, but finally feeling a little better, and decided to join a challenge (or two) for some inspiration!

This card was mainly inspired by ''If you give a crafter a Cookie', challenge # 40, the theme is bunnies. I hope you hop on over there and check it out - I think you'll see where I got my inspiration. ;0)
